Fog (Visibility) Sensor

A fog sensor is a device used to detect reduced visibility, typically alerting or notifying a specific user when fog is present. The core components of the fog detector include a light transmitter and a receiver. The light emitter sends a beam of light into a defined detection area. Within this area, the light—especially infrared (IR)—is scattered by fog particles. The receiver detects the scattered light, allowing the system to evaluate the density of the fog. This module generally includes a photoelectric sensor, making it effective and reliable for fog detection in various environments.
